SaleAn author’s website is the place where readers go to learn about you and your books. Unless you plan to be a one book wonder, you should look into creating an author site. A website can help promote your other books. Place your web address in the back of your published book and readers can find you and your other work.

As a reader think about what you’d like to see on your favorite author’s site. What would you want to read on their about page? When you click on the link to see their books, do you like to read a brief excerpt? Do you want to click a link from their site that takes you to where you can purchase the book? Do you like knowing what they are working on and when it will be released?

Your site should be used to, inform, promote, sale and connect. It should be clean and aesthetically appealing. Use it as the hub to your blog, social media posts, videos, etcetera, giving readers the opportunity to have a one stop shop for you.

Do you have to have an author’s website? No, but your probably should have one. It can be a great sales tool.

I have written and published six novels.  My latest book entitled Life on Fire, co-written with my sister Karen D. The group will also be a place for members to ask questions and share information.
